We aim to educate and empower Black mothers to create the birth and motherhood journeys they desire and deserve.

The Autonomous Collective began as Autonomous Birth, a YouTube series highlighting Black women’s birthing stories through short-form documentaries which evolved into a podcast. Each mother shared her journey through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum in her own words.

While the podcast remains at the heart of what we do, the platform is expanding to include products, workshops, and events designed to support, inspire, and connect mothers at every stage.​
